About filum

We were watching a movie with a vintage amplifier. One day, it no longer produces sounds; it turned out that the vacuum tubes have broken. I followed my husband to purchase the missing parts. The specialty store that sells them had all sorts of loose parts, overwhelming the shelves in numbers. For some reason, I was deeply intrigued by the apparatus even though I know little about them. The vacuum tube lit. It was my first time witnessing the repair of the amplifier. My eyes fixated on the delicate but definite glow of the filament; I was mesmerized. filum embodies a petite and picturesque presence that captures the eyes amongst the commonplace happenings in everyday life—like a ray of sunshine on the table; a knit effortlessly set down; turning pages at the fingertips; a glowing filament.
