verse
A door knob, a table leg, a light switch.
I find the parts of everyday objects as such intriguing;
their functions, their aesthetics, and especially how the parts allow room for continuation.
They give the same feeling of anticipation as looking forward to the unraveling of a plot, or waiting for a verse or a conversation to transpire.
Crumpled papers, picked up tree branches and pebbles
None serving a specific function nor minding aesthetics, but still allow room for anticipation and continuation.
Every object seems to inspire and wanting to be discovered.
Like a verse of poetry,
verse collection features a beautiful ensemble of parts.
Jewelry may be petite compared to many things,
but their intricate detailings can leave a long and lasting impression.
Repeated adjustments in details give the jewelry their shapes, forms
and individualistic personalities,
creating significant presences in a small world.
Giving a stone with needle inclusions a cabochon cut results in an impressive transformation, such as a line across the beautiful arc of the Cat's Eye.
Unlike most Cat's Eye stones, this moonstone reveals its reflected lines along with the stone's delicate gradation.
Go with the flow.
When things do not make much sense, I try not to let them impede my thoughts and design processes and let my pen run free.
